The Bank of Bonifay is the oldest existing business in Holmes County Florida and the oldest active state chartered bank in the state of Florida. The bank was incorporated and chartered in 1906. As of 2006 the bank had grown its assets size to $205 million. In October of 2003 the bank moved to its new location at 300 N. Waukesha Street into a new 11,000 square foot building. Parking and drive thru capabilities have been expanded to provide easy access and convenience. A major investment has also been made in technology with improved telephone banking, online internet banking and debit card/ATM card features have been added to the banks line of products and services. The trade area has also been expanded covering Jackson, Washington, Holmes, Bay, Walton, and Okaloosa Counties with branches available in Jackson, Washington, Okaloosa, and Walton counties. The Bank of Bonifay is committed to building personal relationships one customer at a time.
